An encoder scale is an optical functional component in an optical encoder. First, let's take a look at what an encoder is in order to understand encoder scales.
What is an encoder?
The literal translation of "encode" is "rewrite in cipher," and "encoder" means "one who rewrites in cipher. In essence, it means a device that converts movement into a signal. Specifically, it converts the movement of an object into an electrical signal.

Optical Encoder Configuration
There are two types of components required for an encoder: sensor and scale.
The accuracy of the scale, as well as the sensor, has a great impact on the performance of the encoder. Custom-made scales are required for special specifications and customization. We manufacture encoder scales on a fully commissioned basis. We are able to produce scales according to your design and requirements.
Scales for Encoders
We manufacture custom-made scales according to the customer's drawings
and required specifications with complete contract manufacturing. We manufacture the following two types of scales.
- PET Encoder Scale
- PET material and special construction method enable ultra-high accuracy at a low price. Separate die-cutting is required.
- Metal Scale
- Manufactured by photo etching process. This is a general scale manufacturing method.
